Pros

If you are a male who does maintenance you will be paid asking, only if you push. Employees who get caught breaking the rules get praised and no accountability as long as they suck up to the top people at corporate. Especially if you are male.

Cons

Need antidepressants & anxiety meds to work here (it’s a common inside joke). Stress comes from the very top, be ready to be treated rudely & even yelled at or cussed at when stressful circumstances arise. The environment is created to make you feel like a bad or just okay employee so you don’t think you have better options or are worthy of competitive pay or fair treatment. If you are really good at your job, you become a threat which will make your daily work life almost unbearable. Must remain average or below average to be sure you don’t become a target. Asking for more pay or asking to not be bothered on vacation will result in a guilt trip conversation full of excuses as to why you don’t deserve it. While most of the onsite office staff works thru lunches and does the job of two people at times, many on the maintenance staff do more standing around smoking and talking and taking at least two people to do the job of one. Be prepared to feel resentful of this when working in the offices at the properties. There are better apartment management companies out there to work for, don’t fall for the hype. If they tell you “we’re like a family”, it’s a toxic family.

Pros

The Owner of this company is fantastic. Great work environment. Great People. Fun perks. I highly recommend.

Cons

The field of "Property Management" is a tough field to be in. Winfield is great, but you have to be prepared for all the cons that come with being in this industry in general. If you are used to this industry, then this will be a fantastic experience for you.

Pros

the property managers on site are great. a good place to get your foot in the door for experience and to make connections within the field. pay is more than fair for the position once properly trained.

Cons

requires 6 day a week availability which calls for occasional scheduling instability (no PTO to use when this happens until 12 month mark), poor communication between district managers, poor training/self taught on the job, unclear and inconsistent expectations, does not support advanced education.
