Windward Response
10yOur goal always is to provide all the support for our staff to be successful and I cannot think of any company where employee failure is acceptable. The time and effort on both the company and employee’s part is just too high to expect anything less than success. However, sometimes these decisions don’t work and the relationship isn’t a good fit, to no fault of anyone (employee or company). Sometimes a person is hired for a specific job with a very important Windward partner. There is never a “bait and switch” and as CEO, I personally met many times staff working with our Partner to outline expectations and provide assistance for them to be successful. We try hard to give staff all the support we can. For example, in this case providing an extra two months to learn the technology, but sometimes people are unable to succeed. This negative review is disheartening, stating that leadership is only “covering themselves” and that we hire under false pretenses – all patently untrue. Sometimes we make mistakes in hiring someone not the right fit for the position and we are actively looking at ways to improve this in the future. However, sometimes people have to take personal responsibility too.
