Pros
Wiley is attempting to make some major changes, there are some really good approaches
Cons
So many well trained people leave the company and all the knowledge is gone. Departments are seriously understaffed, workflows are contradicting, the policy and attitude is top down. There is no way bottom up and if you try it is a hard and frustrating way leading nowwhere, you realize quickly that feedback is not wanted if it is not positive, only success stories are allowed to be told. There is no problem solving strategy at all. Everything is kept under control, management keeps repeating all over that everything is great, expecting everyone to take over a happy attitude although overworked and frustrated. Workflows are changed all the time to cut cost, outsourcing leaves authors and customers frustrated, systems are not appropriate, well trained people spend most of their time doing assembly line work and more and more administration work they have not been hired for.
