Pros

I love patient/resident care. What I do makes a difference in their lives and they are the reason I come to work.

Cons

Critical core staff are underpaid: housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, CNAs and nurses. It takes a village to run a successful facility. Mgmt will approve a bonus or stat pay for agency but not their own staff when calls ins occur!? (which is way too often). It would be cheaper and better continuum of care for our residents to pay short shift 1.5x pay instead of $$$ to agency that does not have the relationship or care that staff does for our residents. How frustrating that agency gets stat pay but WesleyLife employees can't get bonused for picking up hours? People still leave and are able to return after 3 months making twice as much as agency. Now there is a sign above the punch clock that states you have to take a 30 minute break if you work over 5 hours, which is next to impossible to do and it's not enough to say you didn't take a 30 minute lunch when punching out, now you have to fill out another sheet saying you didn't also? What a waste of paper!

Pros

Good PTO benefits at the Director level: 30 days off a year. Good and affordable healthcare plan for you,

Cons

Pricey healthcare plans when it come to covering your spouse or child. High turnover. Low morale. Micromanaged and over-worked. Expected to work outside of business hours. Promised a wage increase in offer letter and leadership didn't follow through even considering a good performance. Just lover promised and underdelivered. Company cuts corners with product quality. Constantly updated and changed software creating a lot of wasted time and time just spent learning software instead of doing the thing that mattered...
