Pros
The area I work in has great management, unfortunately, they often have their hands tied as to what they can do & offer by the senior leadership and corporate-driven profits over people style of business. If I didn't like the area I am in so much I would not be here still. It's a large hospital so you can try out different areas.
Cons
As a long-term employee, I make very little $ over new hires, they don't give large raises, and many years there isn't one. The staffing ratios are profit-driven, with no incentive to stay in this workforce. You are often asked to do what isn't safe or work extra even though it is often asked. The charting system is archaic with very few technological advances in the past 15 years. There are updates available but the company won't spend the money on it. They are losing staff in high numbers but still refuse to increase wages to liveable amounts or make changes that would increase staff & patient satisfaction (at the risk of profits)
