Pros
Was nice working there due to my other team members, and benefit of free food as well as discount. Pay was decent, usually at least a pound above min wage. Some managers were actually good.
Cons
Some upper management were genuinely on a power trip, would make you do ridiculous tasks like cleaning all of the walls. Considering the store was quite new and the walls were not at all dirty- pretty unnecessary. Management also messy, hire in their own people and not giving older staff enough hours, to make it worse, no manager would take responsibility for this and would pass blame onto others. Did not really care about/ look after staff, would not give someone maternity leave even though they were one of the best crew members, or support them through maternity, not giving good staff enough hours. Lack of job security - they gave minimal hours to some staff they wanted to get rid off.
