Pros

The idea of the CBVS program is great. Waypoint benefits are great. Waypoint warmup is fun. Mostly everyone seems nice and fair and here for the right reasons.

Cons

Low morale and constant staff turnover in CBVS despite plenty of caring and motivated staff. This rapid exodus Is due to the walk on eggshells environment. Regional supervisors are professional, caring, and empathetic, but upper management is not responsive to employee feedback regarding problems created by the aggressive program management style within CBVS. There is strong program emphasis on learning and using masters level clinical skills which are beyond the skill and degree level of the employees. The push for good data competes with the worker’s ability to put client’s needs first. Waypoint salaries are on the low side, but it still has many great programs to consider for employment outside of the CBVS program.

Thank you for your feedback. Waypoint would not be able to provide the amazing services that we do without our valued employees. We encourage a work/life balance so that our employees may bring their best selves to work while supporting their families at home. Thank you for your dedication and hard work throughout your tenure.

Pros

Pros: -The experience gave me clarity about the kind of workplace culture I want to be part of in the future, and made it clear that any workplace culture similar to Waypoint’s, is not it. -It motivated me to pursue environments that value mentorship and growth. -I gained resilience and learned how to adapt under pressure.

Cons

Cons: -As an intern, asking questions was treated like a burden instead of part of learning. Guidance was minimal, and mistakes were not approached as teachable moments. -Interns were compared to higher-level students rather than supported at their own stage of training. -Leadership occasionally made belittling comments about educational backgrounds, which felt unprofessional and discouraging. -The overall atmosphere was tense, many days felt like “walking on eggshells.” -Negative culture, including gossip about colleagues and even clients, created a toxic and disheartening environment.
