Pros

Hours are consistent and no expectations of working late or weekends. Cafe food is decent and cafe staff are kind. Small gym on site is nice and kept clean. Office is pretty quiet and easy to focus in.

Cons

No on-site support roles like HR or IT, and leadership does not care about your success. Constantly pushed on schedule and scope of projects but they are unwilling to hire the correct amount of staff to meet the goals. Actively hostile towards women and queer people coming from both leadership and staff. Little to no room for growth, and no career development plans. No training plans for new hires, you are expected to just pick things up without any documentation. Extremely low diversity for women and minorities. High turnover rate across the board. Projects are usually single threaded where one absence can derail a whole schedule. “Small team” means there’s one person doing the job. Leadership refuses to take accountability for all the above issues as long as the profit margins are good.

Pros

Some genuinely kind and hardworking team members. A few supervisors, like Lorie and Joe, treat employees with respect and care. The nature of the work itself can be interesting and rewarding when allowed to flourish

Cons

Senior management suffers from poor leadership, lack of communication, and inconsistent follow-through. Promises of change or improvements often go unfulfilled for weeks or even months. A culture of micromanagement, intimidation, and gossip is fostered at the upper levels. Certain managers create a hostile work environment by undermining their own team members and prioritizing image over genuine problem-solving. Employee morale is low due to persistent dysfunction and stress caused by toxic leadership behavior. Some departments are managed in ways that prioritize control and drama over productivity and well-being. This results in high stress and unnecessary workplace conflict. Vendor and supplier quality is subpar, and there's a lack of accountability in maintaining standards. The craftsmanship of the final products often does not reflect the care or attention to detail that should be present in a company producing high-precision tools.
