Don't unless you're willing to get thrown under the bus - Incident Response Manager Watershed Security Employee Review

Pros

Hybrid work schedule. Quick hiring process.

Cons

Management is more concerned about keeping contracts than resolving problems. I was let go for "unprofessional behavior" however I was given no indication as to what that behavior was. Low pay (70k with a CASP, CEH, BSc, and 17 years of experience) Was promised a substantial raise. Apparently that only translates to 5k when they made it sound like it would be much more. Was told I would receive a bonus for earning new certifications, the COO then retracted that and said he never said that. Constantly thrown under the bus by government personnel and management sided with them instead of talking to me about the issues. Expensive benefits.

Thank you for your feedback. As Government contractors, we are held to very high standards. Watershed always advocates for our employees and did so on multiple occasions in your situation to include negotiating a $5,000 raise for you. Unfortunately, when employee related issues continue unresolved, we reach a point where we can longer defend the employee’s behavior and must part ways. We wish you success in finding a job that is better suited to your experience and salary requirements.

Pros

Great benefits! Company paid insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401k, Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Federal Holidays. The company also cares a LOT about their employees, and tries to retain all employees. When contracts end with a customer Watershed works very hard to place employees in new contracts elsewhere in the company. The company also is comprised of mostly Veterans. As a Veteran working for a small Veteran owned business (Watershed), this means so much to me. Watershed also employs top quality candidates. I am amazed daily at the professional quality and knowledge I am surrounded by in fellow employees. Watershed is also a great motivator professionally - they constantly advise, motivate, and provide materials to help you advance professionally with obtaining new certifications. I have worked for 6 other Gov contract companies, and none of them compare to Watershed.

Cons

Watershed is a small company, so unfortunately sometimes when an employee needs to be placed elsewhere in the company to retain them, Watershed does not always have any open positions.
