Pros
The team behind the bar and in the kitchen here is among the best I've worked with. They're all incredibly hard workers and extremely dependable and consistent. Pay is great, which is the only reason why people stick around as long as they do. With tips, you sometimes cam make close to $30/hr.
Cons
Where do I begin?
-There's an AI camera in the ceiling tracking length of customer interactions and wait times, and you can bet you'll get a talking to if you're taking too long/not long enough.
-They show next to no regard for the well being of the staff
-They're actively engaging in wage theft at their 5th Avenue location. You have to go down two flights of stairs, down a hallway, get into uniform and sometimes bring things up from the stockroom PRIOR to clocking in, all of which can take ten minutes. When I pushed back against this I was told I wasn't being a "team player", or exhibiting my "WatchHouse Can-Do attitude."
- It's common to work a closing shift, ending at 7:30 PM or sometimes later and have to open at 6 AM the next day.
- Staff turnover is extremely high, therefore they are frequently understaffed.
-Promotions are heavily based on favoritism and who sucks up the most rather than seniority or qualifications.
