Pros
Worked in the "corporate office" if you can call it that, not in the laundromats.
+ Great work/life balance
+ Great opportunity if you're willing to commit and stick with it
Cons
- Startup, which includes all problems with startups: Lack of direction, everyone wears many hats (meaning prepare to do several jobs for one paycheck), lack of established office.
- Was told during the interview the company was opening a new office, showed up for work day 1 to a big, empty, white room. Was horrified to learn I was the only employee in this office, besides the two owners/managers.
- Sitting alone in a room all day, 5 days a week is psychologically tough, I relished any human interaction, even if it was going out and buying lunch.
- Micromanaging was severe since you sit with owners right there next to you.
- Horrible customer service, and treatment of customers. In a service business, this is your bread & butter, yet the owners seem to enjoy berating customers.
