Pros
good snack kitchen big spacious office big desks fun people
Cons
HR department is nonexistant, unorganized and completely unstructured because the company is barely 2 years old. since AZ is a right to work state, you can get fired for no good reason. I had to ask why I was being fired because it wasn't voluntarily stated. there was no improvement plan, no documentation of any issues or violations, when you think you're doing good work and doing the work as described, for any arbitrary reason you can get fired. absolutely terrible and paltry training. they won't invest in training you. ask for the company to pay for your software certification so you don't have to suck at using hard and difficult software? HA not happening. the company's way too invested in building a freaking booking platform to invest a single dollar or thought in their employee development and improvement. my first two weeks i was brought up on a certain CRM platform and then once training was over I had to learn zendesk outside of training and my boss's training was a total joke. said i didn't need to be certified in zendesk, his training was all i needed. his training was complete crap. the different platforms they use at their company to knock out tasks is buggy and poorly conveyed to associates as they train and develop, or try to. unlimited time off (total BS to begin with) benefits are lame. I had medical and vision, no dental, nothing else. as i said, they can't afford anything else right now. despite working from a laptop and being made to sit in the big office on the weekends all by myself for 11 hours a day, I was unable to work from home despite being perfectly able to, and EVERYONE ELSE did! my boss claimed that "we're trying to set up a call center" yeah that's nice but tons of companies do statistically better when they have remote working options for their employees. again, total bs. also wouldn't let me learn about any of the operational sides of the company, like acquiring new properties, or even let me go see some of our properties in person. my boss was committed to keeping me at my desk answering emails and phone calls and absolutely nothing else.
