Pros

A decent pay for the position I'm in (compared to people on the sales floor) Work hard and you will move up the ranks. Learning new skills that you can use in your personal life and moving forward in terms of work.

Cons

Unskilled workers are thrown into their positions without proper training. Unrealistic work hours and unrealistic policies revolving around work hours (especially for college students) Managers that do not know what they are doing half the time. Managers that treat their associates like they don't know what their doing. New Walmart pay raise initiative only applies to new hires so associates that have been with the company longer are getting paid less or about the same as new hires which many of us feel is unfair.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
