Always a grind - Senior Project M Walker Information Employee Review

Pros

Free drinks, relaxed dress code

Cons

As a lower level or even mid-level employee you'll be expected to sacrifice your social life for the benefit of Walker. It is not uncommon for APMs, PMs and SPMs to put in 50-60 hour weeks for a paltry salary. The work itself is not rewarding as you'll be consistently yelled at by clients and made to feel insignificant and replaceable by senior leadership. Also, I wouldn't recommend being a top performer as you'll be rewarded not with more money but with more work being dumped on your plate to make up for the less effective employees.

Pros

At Walker you feel less like an employee and more like a partner, getting opportunity to grow as fast as you can in a stress free environment. Every quarter we have strategic resets where no employee is undervalued in their opinion and everybody is encouraged to contribute.

Cons

Not the biggest in office culture, a lot of remote workers, just means more space in their keystone office.

Pros

Working remotely, company paid insurance premium for individual/single. Transparency of company performance.

Cons

The working expectations are insanely high for the well below average pay they offer. They try to justify by touting the flexibility, but you end up working double the hours to be able to get everything finished and maintain. They are solely transactional and will overload you with clients regardless of how overloaded you are. There are so many internal politics here and nepotism runs rampant. They claim a good culture but it is severely overshadowed by their unrealistic expectations.
