Pros
Working at a register is simple enough and sometimes the customers are kind. I've met one person working there that I could see myself being friends with. The store has AC, and there have been a few funny moments with the other staff here and there.
Cons
I've gotten little to no training despite me making it clear that this is my first job. We're understaffed and overpacked, especially in pharmacy. All management seems to care about is how many credit card applications we get. I typically work as the only cashier and we are packed on a constant basis. I press the IC3 button (which basically means we have 3 or more people waiting in line and I need help) and half of the time nobody shows up to help. I was never shown how to do photos, any explanation I get about FEDEX and the photo department, as well as the register, was only given after an issue had come up and I needed help and they were brief. Managers half of the time won't show up when you call them for help. I was left alone on my 2nd day, had no idea how to do returns or card reloads, nor how to do price checks. I wasn't even able to complete the online training they make you do, which sucks itself. I've been with this company not even a year and the only reason I haven't quit is because I want something to put on my resume. I'm having nightmares about this job. I get maybe two days off in a week and to get them I have to work 4 8 hour days. I'm miserable.
