Pros
The pay was good. In this economy, it is hard to find a job that pays as much and gives hours (hours only for management and pharmacists. Currently hours are getting cut for lower level employees). And the people (not management, except for a few) are nice to work with.
Cons
(These are strictly for District 11, I'm unaware of any issues in other districts) Constant favoritism: it's not about what you know, its about who you know. Absolutely no work / life balance Store Managers and EXAs do not care if you're sick. Even if you go to the doctor (and are legitimately ill) they will still hold it against you. There is ZERO accountability on associates. Assistant managers did the grunt work. Community Leaders are useless The "Open Door Policy" is a joke. They do not have an anonymous hotline to address grievances. Once an employee calls about their manager, that manager knows who called and what was said. Certain store managers were best friends with the district manager, giving them lee-way to do and say what they pleased with no repercussion. Assistants are lied to about promotions. They tell you to work harder and harder because you have a chance of getting into the EXA program, however, if you're not their personal pet or best friend, you have no chance of moving above the MGT position.
