Toxic Work Environment - Anonymous employee Wake County Government Employee Review

Work environment is highly stressful and demanding. There is not a lot of room for growth and opportunity. Employees usually stay in the same role for 5-10 years. Program managers micromanage staff, are poor at establishing positive working relationships with staff and are not receptive to feedback. Efforts are not made to reduce heavy workloads and management seems to have an inability to make a direct impact or contribution to solve problems. Folks, there is no sense of all hands on deck here! The work environment and expectations are draining and overbearing.
