Pros
Solid Wages. Limitless Overtime. Bonus Pay (although it was questionable if we would get a bonus this year due to financial hardships)
Cons
I whole heartedly agree with the first review. Members of Admin are related to several members in the EMS department. In the past 4 years, Admin has fired 8 crewmembers in the EMS department, all non-family members off course. Plus WGH has fired their past 3 Ambulance Directors. (One has now moved on as the EMS director of Gibson County, and is now successfully running a MUCH larger County with 4 ambulance bases). That equals 11 terminations in 4 years. And that's not including the additional employees that have now quit that department. Qualified employees are thrown aside and terminated in order to cover up the "mis-doings" from those coveted family members working in the EMS dept. Any complaints against those family members are disregarded and always "disappear." The Board of Directors never gets to hear the serious complaints coming from this department, as the CEO Jay Purvis or members of Admin have blocked all complaints or employees with concerns from ever reaching the Board. However; the high turnover rate and alarming number of firings from this department should be proof enough of what is going on. If this hospital wants to survive another 10 years, they need to focus on retaining qualified employees, not retaining/protecting their under qualified family members. Anyone with morals or ethics need not apply at this hospital.
