Pros

The NYC Office is a great place for a young engineer anyway from 0 to 5 years of experience. You will work on some really great projects. Lots of diversity in projects not matched by most other firms. The ability to take on more responsibility is there as long as you show competence and reliability. -Flex summer hours -Laid back work environment -Lots of company paid for events like beer Friday, boat cruise etc. -Lots of overtime work if you want it. -Reimbursement for licensing applications and books. -Decent health care

Cons

-Terrible Salaries (expect to be 20% below market value) -Terrible raises (expect to get about a %2 raise ever year if you're lucky) - Like others have said if you are below an "associate" title you are meaningless. Basically just a number and the upper management will most likely never interact with you. -Complaining to management about workload and man-power on projects is useless. Its basically a "your problem figure it out attitude" Expect to work lots of OT on some projects. -Promotions are only given if you threaten to leave or the thought of you leaving is there. -Way too top heavy with managers who do 0 production work not enough production staff. -terrible matching of 401k plan (less than 1%) -No real career path. Expect to be stuck in the same position for years unless you say something (or threaten to leave the company perhaps).

Pros

With over 30 years in the engineering industry, I can say without hesitation that this is the most employee-attentive firm I have ever had the privilege of working for. What sets this organization apart is its commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry — not just technologically, but in how it values and invests in its people. The collective expertise of thousands of dedicated professionals here doesn't just benefit the company; it makes a meaningful impact on the world, and that sense of purpose has genuinely reignited my passion for engineering. The opportunities for growth are both vast and real. Across the firm's many initiatives, there is something for everyone who comes to work curious, motivated, and eager to contribute. This is not a place where ambition goes unnoticed. After more than three decades in this field, I have found a place I am proud to be part of — and one I hope to remain a part of for many years to come. If you are considering joining this team, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take that step.

Cons

If I have to mention a con, it would be monetary compensation, but who doesn't want more money. I took a paycut to join this firm and the amount of time I am investing, could be worth more than my current salary warrants.
