Wells is one of the first commercial banks that embrace AT and machine learning in the quantitative modeling across all business units. Wells does not have target schools. The new hires in the past two years include students from different level of colleges from top tier to state universities. Its interview questions are pretty standard.

Wells tried to avoid its hiring in expensive area such as SF bay area and switched its hiring to less expensive geographic area such as Charlotte NC. Wells has above 200k employees across all business lines. New hires directly from college may have option to rotate in a few business groups and make a final decision in the end.
