Pros
Payday, weekends, none to frequent holidays.
Cons
The job was awful and the parent company worse. Incredible responsibility for $25/hr working with municipalities' infrastructure, dangerous gas, arrogant subcontractors and dirty jobsites. Management was always angry, pretended to be overworked and everyone was continually hounded by countless "senior vice presidents of operations." A bunch of profane, nicotine addicted rednecks is what management is. The job required employees to use their own vehicles driving EVERYWHERE hauling equipment, tools, paint, 20lb. cop-like laptop, and gobs of paper forms. Felt like a quasi engineer/secretary but in reality the job is a fall man in case of an accident. Benefits stink. Single health plan has $7K deductible and then 70/30 afterwards, which the employee pays portion of the premium. Pathetic. 1 sick day allowed after 10 months of perfect attendance. Horrible. Unbelievably draconian workplace.
