Pros

Really cool technology, some really cool people as well.

Cons

There is no true product and management is inexperienced and cherry picks what they find important. Company is slowly going down under.

Pros

They have a good technology and proposition and are honing this into focusing on the gaming sector. They have some good people in the company eg the heads of department They allow flexible working, hybrid etc Regular meetings and results sharing mean you keep up to date with what other teams are doing Active social team and events

Cons

It is still early stage, so a lot of sudden changes of plan (fairly typical but be aware in case this doesn't suit your style) They use Agile for everything, but the way it is used makes it very micromanaged and some of the leaders are micromanagers The leadership team is inexperienced but arrogant - they would be in junior roles in any other company. They employ a lot of very early career people which means some of them just don't have the experience/skills to perform well and need guidance Not many benefits, there's a pension plan and a healthcare provider Some underhand behaviour

Pros

I’ve recently joined VividQ as Head of People & Talent. Whilst VividQ is a young company, founded in 2017, we are already well established with committed investors and a reputation that reflects what we want to achieve: to shape the future of display technology. To help us accomplish that, we're on the lookout for talented, driven people who want to help us grow the business and build the technological foundations of Augmented Reality and the metaverse. If that sounds for you, please connect with me on LinkedIn and subscribe to VividQ’s LinkedIn page to find out more. We are a unique business and so are our people. Our culture is nicely relaxed and inclusive, offering up a progressive, friendly working environment in the heart of both Cambridge and London, enabling our teams to get together and work collaboratively. Hybrid, flexible working is now standard practice. I too read Glassdoor reviews when evaluating my decision to join a company, so rest assured, VividQ will take any received comments/reviews written here seriously. We are putting in place a people-centric culture with well thought out HR systems so early on is refreshing as so many small businesses fail to achieve this. We will ultimately grow and develop VividQ through the smart, ambitious people we hire, and so actively encourage professional development and training opportunities for everyone whilst they progress their careers with us.

Cons

Young team and company does not mean we always get it right the first time but when you know better, you do better. Research ‘Agile working’ before you consider applying for one of our roles, as this is the way we run our business processes and it might not be for everyone. For some, this could be a con. We are not about fast, explosive growth, instead we take a more measured approach, and our planning is often meticulous. We adopt the Agile methodology across the business, including sales, marketing, and operations, expecting our cross-functional teams to all support the overarching company goals.
