Pros

Great care delivered to clients and patients.

Cons

Vivent Health is not a coherent national organization. Instead, it's a collection of previously independent HIV/AIDS service organizations that have been subsumed into a larger body (Vivent Health) due to their challenging financial states. The organization's perpetual focus on growth through the acquisition of organizations in states of financial precarity in unsustainable, and at times seemingly predatory. The focus should be on building systems and processes that work before acquiring new targets. So many critical systems and processes required to run an operation at scale simply do not exist. There is an exceptional amount of staff turnover, an incredibly ineffectual executive leadership team, a complete lack of respect for or acknowledgement of local challenges outside of the Milwaukee HQ, a surprising amount of deep distrust among local donors and supporters outside of the Milwaukee HQ, and a CEO that is entirely unfit to lead the enterprise. On top of all this, an exceptionally chaotic operational 'strategy' (if you can call it a strategy at all) makes Vivent Health an unfit place to work. PLEASE consider these truthful Glassdoor reviews you're reading now before you choose to work at Vivent Health because doing so will be a regretful mistake.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We do indeed provide great care to our clients and patients! We are an organization created from mergers of other HIV/AIDS service organizations, and this makes us strong and viable for the foreseeable future. We are working hard to create a Vivent Health culture that recognizes the unique contributions of each merged organization, while also bringing us all together as one family. These are exciting times for Champions who want to be a part of our impactful organization. Creative, motivated, and mission-driven champions thrive at Vivent Health!

Pros

Good pay, generous paid time off. mental health days, personal days. birthday holiday.

Cons

top heavy - CEO is wonderful and hard working, but takes in a HUGE salary for the non profit world. fine but the pay disparity is questionable. Could use more options for remote work or flexible schedule.

Pros

Meaningful mission and opportunity to serve vulnerable populations. Some staff members are dedicated and genuinely care about clients. Valuable experience gained in community-based prevention work.

Cons

Significant issues with team dynamics and lack of professional boundaries across roles. Nursing staff in particular demonstrated inconsistent professionalism, including poor communication, lack of accountability, and behavior that contributed to a stressful work environment. There appeared to be limited support for staff experiencing burnout or mental health challenges, despite the nature of the work. Case management dynamics at times felt more adversarial than collaborative, and boundaries for roles such as Prevention Specialists were not consistently respected. Overall, internal culture often detracted from the ability to effectively serve clients.
