Pros
The company has Alaskan heritage. They provide affordable fuel to some of Alaska's rural communities.
Cons
Poor treatment to new employees. A feeling that employees, in general, are seen as expendable. Managers (especially in the Ops and Finance depts) would not acknowledge requests from employees under them as important or time-sensitive. This ends up ultimately reflecting poorly on the new employees. Managers (especially in the Ops and Finance dept) give an impression most tasks are "beneath them," and view employees who ask clarifying questions as an annoyance. There was frequent failure to meet monthly deadlines within the company. No training was given, and most requests for clarification or help were ignored. Fear that asking for help would lead to adverse consequences. No support was given to those who asked for help. Stark difference in attitude/morale of employees between departments.
