I enjoyed a consistent flow of work and built positive professional relationships as a freelancer for several years. Payments were prompt and the assignments were straightforward.

Unfortunately, there was constant turnover in the staff. Typically, I knew more about their print specifications and what design elements to avoid than the employees. I was able to build an excellent rapport with a few members. One in particular was there over a year and had excellent communication skills. Suddenly, replies to emails completely ceased. I called and eventually found out they no longer worked there. Thereafter, all work requests and communications totally ceased. After reaching out to find out what was happening, they disclosed someone was hired to do the job in house. Zero advance notice was given, nor was I extended the opportunity to apply for the position. I was consistently dependable, responsive, provided quick turnaround times, acknowledged any mistakes, made them right and gave billing credit.

They really look out for their staff and are pro-active when it comes to pay rises, staff health and well being

Hours can vary greatly, however they do give you a heads up so you know that it is not going to be consistent work.
