Pros
There was a decent amount of work to keep you busy during the peak season. You get to travel quite a bit to jobs in other cities and states.
Cons
You will: spend a lot of time chasing down your paycheck; dealing with bounced paychecks; waiting for paychecks (pay period is 2 weeks - you get paid 3 weeks later - illegal); hoping that the equipment you are sent out with works (they work out of a storage unit without power, so there is no way to QC gear, other than in the field); deal with angry clients due to failure in communications on client needs; spend most of your time thinking about what will go wrong in the field, rather than how you can shine as an AV tech; and, spend money out of pocket for business expenses only to get reimbursed 2-3 months later, if you pursue the owner (maybe - they have no procedure for reimbursement). Every time your paycheck and reimbursements are late, you will hear something to the effect of "We are waiting for clients to pay us.", "The bank took out unexpected taxes.", "We don't have it."
You can't deposit your check in your own bank because, by the time it clears your bank, there may not be sufficient funds in their account. They operate expenses and payroll out of the same account, and don't manage that account well.
The address they use in Anaheim was their old office, yet they claim it as their current address. They work out of a storage unit in Tustin.
They have no company vehicles (unregistered for 1.5 years, then sold to a junk car company), so money gets expensed to rent trucks or you will be asked to use your personal vehicle.
Look up their name with the Secretary of State, and you will find SOS Suspended.
There are three primary ways an organization may become suspended:
Failure to file your Statement of Information with the Secretary of State's (SOS) office.
Failure to pay an amount due.
Failure to file any past due tax returns with the Franchise Tax Board (FTB).
Overall, they will leverage the sweat equity of their workforce while they wait to get paid from clients.
