Pros

One star for nice office and most people. If you have an interview, note the red flags from who is interviewing you as they will be easy to spot. As much as they like to believe, most of management is actually not smart at all. This provides for great interview practice, especially when you ask about Glassdoor. If you get hired, you will learn a lot about Colombia.

Cons

First, please look at the high number of other scathing reviews, each person has had their own experiences. No one legitimate makes good reviews, the company has to make fake reviews instead of actually improving the situation. Now, the company loses four stars for many reasons. There are no career opportunities, proper guidance, or any advancement; there is survival. Also, prepare to use your skills to the minimum. The compensation and benefits are alright next to other publishers, but can be better. There is no work/life balance, people have been asked to come in during snowstorms, required to miss lunch, and had to fight for certain benefits that affects their families. A list of values is supposed to be maintained, but most will experience the bitter opposite. Most of senior management is an absolute joke. Everyone from directors to interns are mistreated. As the company culture is based on fear, a person leaves weekly one way or another. The tremendous turnover causes most employees to want to leave shortly after they were hired.

Pros

Working in this company has been both challenging and rewarding. Not only do I continuously learn and grow, but I also get to contribute to making education more accessible and convenient—especially for students who lack the means to pursue formal schooling or live in remote areas. My work here feels purposeful, and I’m proud to be part of a team that leverages advanced technology to create a positive impact

Cons

Pros

There are plenty of benefits that employees actually enjoy. The commuter pass and parking program, weekly catered lunches, fitness reimbursement, and the training and other development opportunities.

Cons

The CEO and his management were so focused on making profits, forgetting about balance, the real vision, and company priorities. The current problems were blatantly ignored while taking advantage of employees, neglecting our well being, losing the work-life balanced we were promised! The outcome was overworked, stressed, and unhappy employees who felt frustrated at work which also affected performance in a terrible way! Instead of actually talking about the decline in performance and resolving the real problem, we were blamed for it and even pressured to perform better! If one would suggest decreasing our load, management would take that against you and accuse you of being incompetent! The CEO being obsessed with getting higher results, will immediately fire anyone who's underperforming and couldn't qualify their insane standards! Fear is the thing that drives people to keep on no matter how exhausting work gets from the continuous increase of workload, no matter how unreasonable it is. No one wants to get fired just like that, without any back up plan. The job is enjoyable, coworkers were great, and students were a joy to teach. It's just the leadership that makes this company terrible!
