Pros
-Genuine freedom of agency to do your job -Great people for the most part -Great place for inexperienced people to learn difficult concepts such as marketing -Inspiring growth and business model -Founders are genuinely intriguing people that a lot can be learned from and who are open to educate and assist. -I would not be able to do the things I'm doing now if it wasn't for what I learned at Viscap. If you can stick out the issues and learn to take positives, you'll learn a lot about personal responsibility and bettering yourself.
Cons
Full disclosure: Even though it is complicated, I was technically let go from this position. I was part of leadership at this company and had over a year career with them. I waited a while to write reviews so that I did not let my raw feelings about how things were handled affect my objective view point. It's very sad, because this company has such potential to take over but failure to acknowledge certain downfalls will prevent them from achieving what they need. -Too much panicked push for change that never ends up implemented -Not enough pay for what you were expected to do, especially near the end when job cross over gave double-fold responsibilities with no pay increase -Too many meetings and not enough action -Hypocrisy from leadership of pushing and believing in the concept of ownership and taking responsibility, but consistently failing to acknowledge that the current downfalls and failings of the company are due to the mature way one or two individuals on leadership go about making rash decisions -Specific member of leadership legitimately acts in ways that border on harassment, anger issues, even cursing out employees out or projected frustration, even when brought up by HR, nothing was done about it, and then HR left. -No functioning HR department anymore. -Grudges are galore, actions are occasionally taken as personal vendettas rather than mistakes, and then you may as well be dead to them
