Pros
-Very flexible on remote work
-Very smart individuals, particularly within the engineering teams
-Good hardware support, modern hardware used
Cons
-The CEO is involved with literally every operation of the company and doesn't trust his employees. I shouldn't have ignored this red flag.
-You're expected to work late (even on weekends and holidays if there's an urgent issue), show up to meetings late (sometimes after 8-9pm) and reply to messages late. If not, you will be swiftly reprimanded by ...(you guessed it), the CEO.
-Absolute disorder. There is no documentation for employees and no documentation for customers. Despite this, management is surprised by the lack of understanding of the product by both employees and customers.
-Don't expect to be onboarded. You will be expected to figure things out on your own.
-Complicated use of the product, difficult to integrate, unstable, and even more difficult to troubleshoot issues when they arise.
-Communication sucks. You're expected to grab complex context from old Slack threads.
-Will use "working with Deel" as an excuse to not own up to their HR duties. The lack of respect for their employees really makes sense here since there's no people team.
