When getting hired I was told I had to arrive by 8am. I originally never thought I could get myself going with high energy that early in the morning, however it has become one of my favorite parts of working here. The people in the company are my second favorite part of working at VIM. People are filled with energy and care about your personal growth which motivates you to do better. What I have taken away from working at VIM is patience. I have had the opportunity to travel with this company and it’s given me the chance to step outside my comfort zone work with different types of people.

Although it’s not a negative to me, something others might not be too excited about is the fast paced environment that will challenge you to grow. You need to know how to self manage and be prepared to learn.

Working at VIM I’ve had an opportunity given to me that I didn’t think was possible. As a result from the mentorship from my management team, I am growing both personally and professionally. To me, this goes to show that it is a team environment driven by merit and not seniority. The culture of VIM is my favorite thing about working here. The people actually care about you and I don’t feel like an employee, where they say “I’m the boss, you’re the employee.” It’s more of “I am your coach and mentor, what can I do to help?” The cherry on top of everything is my managers have been understanding about balancing a schedule that works for me. I am a mother and being able to get done with my workday by 3:00pm is ideal.

If you aren’t able to handle a fast paced environment and/or don’t have a “go getter” mentality, I would not recommend this job for you.
