Pros

Great PTO - give it to you all up front, snacks on Friday and free beer on Thursdays

Cons

No one hit their quota last year but as a result, upper management decided to triple the sales team and raise each individual quota by 60% despite the fact that the construction space is the slowest to change. All sales members are not treated equally - in 2017 the Oregon Equal Pay Act was put into action stating that all members must be paid equal pay for equal work with exceptions only made for experience, training and productivity. When you have new people knowingly starting at the same salary as people who have been there for 1-9 years- there is something wrong with that. Despite the inequity in pay, there is no raise structure, even if you ask- GOOD LUCK with that. They will either tell you there's no money for that or because you weren't at 100% of goal for 100% of the year, you don't deserve it. But then will turn around and offer a 7k commission check for each new employee referral brought in. The departments are not in conjunction at all - sales and professional services HAVE to be in sync, if they're not in sync then everyone suffers. Upper management does not have your back when it comes to people wanting to return the software due to poor implementation experiences because no one wants to step on the other department's toes, and in turn, the sales people suffer because they take a hit to future commissions- regardless if it's their fault or not. Of the inside sales managers, you have three options: one is easy going, goes with the flow. One is the poster child for favoritism, only paying attention and giving praise to those who are over performing (one person...) and then the last rules by fear and closes out every email to his team with a blatant threat to his team that if they do not comply, they will lose their job. There are weekly meetings intended to discuss prospecting and what people are doing to make them successful in uncovering opportunities, but frequently, the meetings turn into shaming people for just not having opportunities while others do. There is little to no culture anymore. I have never worked somewhere where I am afraid each day that I will lose my job - not for lack of performing as I am in the top 50% of all of the employees, but on pure whim of the management. No one smiles, everyone is unhappy and they are on the brink of a massive turnover because the experiment that they are running - tripling the staff, doubling the quota, increasing pressure on the sales department to deliver while providing no guidance on how to do so, all while expecting sales to take on the role of a failed marketing department, under-delivering lead development reps who don't even cold call, as well as high level solutions engineers and Salesforce admins. If you are considering applying here, don't. Until there is a massive change in how things are run, it is a waste of your time.
