My experience at Vertiv was a nightmare from day one. Here's why:
Chaotic Environment: The project I joined was already 6 months behind schedule, and key leadership was leaving. The Delaware facility felt like a ghost town, with empty cubicles reflecting a massive brain drain.
Deceptive Onboarding: My boss misled me about transferable skills, gave me just one week to learn new systems, and provided no formal training. I was micromanaged and criticized for needing time to focus.
Broken Processes: Their ECN system was absurdly bloated, requiring 20–60 approvals per change. Backlogs were constant, yet my boss blamed me for delays caused by their inefficient process. Simple tasks took months instead of days.
IT Failures: A disastrous CAD/ECN migration broke thousands of file links, leaving critical parts inaccessible. IT refused to fix the issues, which crippled productivity.
I quit after three months in late 2018 to save my career. This company’s mismanagement and dysfunction were unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Avoid at all costs.
