Pros

Benefits weren't bad. Most of the people I worked with were great.

Cons

Low morale and antiquated business practices. Dishonesty. I was mislead during the hiring process and the job description and responsibilities weren't what I ended up actually doing on the job. The company has fairly high turnover because of the issues I just mentioned. Also, note all of the positive reviews this company received in a short window of time (December 2018). We were asked to write those because we had, at the time, a rating of about 1.5 here on Glassdoor. But rather than fix the issues that exist and be honest about them, the company would rather cover up and mislead. We wrote those reviews because we were told to, and out of fear. And when you leave, they ask you on the way out to write something nice about them.

Pros

The culture is spot on.

Cons

Growth is problematic, the company is trying to compete with big budgets ro carve out space in the small business market, but Ai has created a new hurdle that is slowing growth dramatically.

Pros

I recently, ( and reluctantly, for personal reasons ) left VertMarkets after over 18 months as senior developer. Although, the hiring process was indeed long I quite enjoyed the methodical way they were testing me. During my stint, I was quite surprised by the effort and money IT team spent on keeping up with latest technology.More than once I spent substantial amount of time, at work, building proof-of-concept programs just to get a handle on the emerging technology. They offer PluralSight membership for all developers which is pretty handy to get started on such projects. Many skills I learnt at VM have been very helpful in my current job. The deadlines are very flexible mainly because the emphasis is on quality and reliability of the product being built. The testing and release procedures are well established so I never saw anyone work week-ends or nights for production releases. Dress policy, over-time policy are additional attractions. IT team works remotely very often depending on personal situation. The business community ( newsletter editors and coordinators ) was very accessible and helpful. One can just stop by or call without any appointment. ( large employers often frown on such informality ) If you enjoy working with cutting-edge technology with a small and efficient team this is definitely THE place for you.

Cons

It is not a exponentially growing company. From what I saw and understood, the revenue and employee count was pretty stable.
