Pros
I’ve been working for HTA for over three years and could not be more pleased with the people I work with and the opportunities I have gotten over the years. I can’t imagine coming into a company and being able to learn so much over the years by getting the opportunities to work with different technology and on different projects. In my previous companies, I had to spend 2-3 years doing the same old repetitive low-level IT work before I would actually start being included in bigger initiatives and projects. I also like that management listens to my input when I bring new ideas for improvements, I feel like everyone has an opportunity to get heard and contribute, regardless of your position.
Cons
Sometimes there are late nights when issues happen or during maintenance events, but that should be no surprise for anyone working in the IT field. The company does plenty to compensate with dinners, comp days and even hotel accommodations for long maintenance events. So, I don’t even consider this as a con, more of a par for the course when working in IT.
