Pros

- Hungry people are rewarded - Plenty of room for advancement - Your input is highly valued and is often transformed into a new product feature or improvement - Laid back and flexible environment - Focus on quality of business development over quantity - Lunch/drinks are provided multiple days/nights per week

Cons

- 15-minute walk from bart - If you need a very structured position where you are essentially a robot, then this place is probably not for you - It's a little loud from all the people talking on the phone

Pros

Good location with lots of food around. I have met some pretty cool people working here. Easy job to get as long as you have some work experience.

Cons

Long hours for all full-time members (8am-6pm M-F) and no flexibility. Very strict rules and don't expect any exceptions to the rules. Things are constantly changing every couple of days and often doesn't make sense. Don't bother to give your opinion on changes because although it is asked from you often, it is never actually taken into consideration so don't waste your breath. You want to just do as upper management says and stay on their good side in order to survive here. The CEO plans to hire full time interns instead of full time members with benefits so he can get more for his money. Intern pay is not enough to cover the cost of living in San Francisco... I have a more descriptive review coming up, but for now I am short on time.

Thank you for your feedback. It was difficult for me to read all the negative reviews on Glassdoor at the beginning, however, I sincerely appreciate all the feedback from our former team members, and want to thank you and them for caring for the progress of Verlocal even after leaving. As the CEO, I sometimes need to make rather fast and aggressive decisions in order to put the company in the right decision and for the good of the company. Even though I've attempted and still do attempt to make all decisions in a considerate manner, I do apologize if I wasn't able to fully maximize your full potential and consider everyone's opinions. Please do note that since we've started the company, more than 70% of our team members were or eventually became full-time members with benefits. We usually have a 2-3 month paid internship period before we transition interns into full-time positions. Because of all the concerns and encouragement from our current and former team members, Verlocal is able to grow every day. I will do my best in order to take all the feedback on Glassdoor into account, so that Verlocal can keep growing and achieve its mission.
