Cons
Severe understaffing - can be hired as a part-time employee but it will be assumed that you can work full-time hours.
Management will depend on the property but you are often working alone managing guests, maintenance and housekeeping - management will simply leave in the middle of the day.
No breaks - if you are assigned an 8 hour shift, expect to be on your feet for the full 8 hours.
Some of the hotels are falling apart, management and further higher-ups would be aware but won’t fix the problem due to cost restraints so be prepared for angry guests.
