Pros

People are respectful to each other, Sandy Springs office is conveniently located next to Marta.

During Q3 earnings call, Mary (CEO) laughed when she said the reason for measuring EBITDA is because we don't make any money; that was quite appalling. This is no laughing matter, and you should be ashamed of yourself. I can't believe this CEO and few of the senior lead team are not fired yet. Senior leadership is too tactical, and has no strategy, at least that is communicated to my level. The company has too many veteran (legacy) managers who are good at creating busy work. The younger, fresher talent exist within the company but don't seem to be listened to or visible. This company could've been a success story. Sandy Springs office is so grim and lacks fun of any kind.

Thanks for your candid review. Communicating strategy to all levels of Veritiv is important to senior leadership, so it's clear that in your case that hasn't been communicated effectively. The company values input as shown by our Continuous Improvement Program, but the company continues to strive to listen to new and diverse ideas and opinions. As for Mary's comment about earnings, she was being as candid and honest as you were in your review. None of senior leadership views revenues and earnings as a laughing matter and have a clear, focused strategy in finishing integration and optimizing processes so that our customers have a better experience with Veritiv and the company can improve margins and make more money. They are lenient when it comes to time of our working from home.

Cons

You do not get hired for full time or promoted based on qualifications. They choose who to hire based on who you know and who you are friendly with.
