Pros
Some of the most brilliant technical staff I've seen anywhere. Favored projects are generously supported. CEO is amazing at securing funding. Some projects have potential to be socially beneficial.
Cons
Company not very good at making use of employees' skills. Management seems to avoid hard decisions, technically weak projects can be pushed forward for years after they should have been abandoned. Employees can't trust statements from management (everything is happy-talk). Company doesn't value good ideas, while too many bad ideas get high-level support. No meaningful mechanism for rewarding good managers. Employee evaluations are very subjective, can vary wildly by manager. Diversity, inclusion, sustainability initiatives are very limited and largely pro forma. Staff turnover seems quite high. Direction changes rapidly, with different parts of company rowing in different directions.
