Pros
- The people at VF are outstanding. (from CEO to Helpdesk) - The culture at VF is the best culture I've ever worked for. (Lots of companies use the whole 'family' tag-line to get people to join their company. VF doesn't do that because they don't have to. They show you they care not only through words, but actions) - Also they have a 'Treat yo' self' box every year that comes with a shirt, candle, and a few other fun gifts. - Pay: I've worked 4 corporate IT jobs - they've paid the best out of all of them.
Cons
- Hours can be hit or miss (not a typical Mon-Fri '9-5') -- That also comes with IT though (if XYZ's server dies and Japan can't place orders at 2 AM - you're the frontline) - Not really a Con for me, but you can't be Camera Shy here. There are a lot of meetings (roughly 10-20 hours a week), where camera is expected. Doesn't bother me, but I know it could bother others. (Also just my two-cents: I'd rather have a company wanting to talk more about problems than no communication) - Sometimes the problems can be pretty tricky and convoluted (but once again, that's just IT)
