Pros
This used to be a wonderful company to work for where a family-feel pre-dominated, where the company was fronted by management who were/had been investigators, themselves, and knew what it was to put in the time, invest the initiative and perform the work needed to deliver quality product to clients... and treated the investigators as the stars they were in actually doing the work for which VRC benefited and earned its reputation ...
Cons
... And then... in came the corporate bean-counters who gutted the system, reduced pay and benefits to mere peanuts and exalted the office staffers to elite status, paid greater salaries and benefits to desk-manning paper-pushers and relegated the actual investigators to the status of peasants and serfs forced to beg for everything that was then stripped from them. Understandably, the good investigators soon left, myself being one of them, and since then VRC has recruited mostly poor-to-mediocre investigators willing to work for poor-to-mediocre wages while enduring being constantly berated and belittled if they don't produce, or care to produce, the same stellar results VRC used to enjoy when it understood the key importance its team of investigators were. This is an attitude and a mindset that now currently plagues ALL Third Party Provider investigator companies and the results are telling as investigators usually burn out or leave in disgust... or are fired for being disreputable as they should never have been hired in the first place, but no better quality persons could be found willing to be paid this low and treated this shabbily.
