I’ve been with the company for over half of its life, which probably says more than anything else I could write. I’ve stayed because I value the transparency and the no-nonsense culture. There are no participation trophies or “well done for trying” awards. Expectations are clear, and performance matters. The business is built on getting the basics right. That might sound simple, but it’s important. If you can’t handle small tasks properly, even something as straightforward as boiling the kettle before serving coffee, then you’re not ready to represent the brand in front of prospects. Accountability starts with fundamentals. Some people struggle here because they expect rapid promotion without mastering those basics first. Progression does happen, but it’s earned through competence, consistency and resilience - not entitlement! If you’re willing to work hard, accept direct feedback, and genuinely develop your skills, you’ll value this environment and grow from it.

This isn’t a “woke” workplace where feelings are prioritised over performance. Feedback is honest and sometimes blunt. Standards are high. If you prefer a softer environment with lots of reassurance and less direct accountability, this probably won’t be the right fit for you.

A useful lesson in spotting performative success versus genuine competence.

Having read what I can only assume are highly coordinated reviews, I feel almost morally obligated to share my own experience. During my time there, there was an obsessive fixation on reviews, constantly discussing them, monitoring them, and trying to control public perception at all costs. If this company supposedly prides itself on ‘attention to detail,’ you would think they’d at least be smart enough not to post multiple glowing reviews on the same day (quiet day on Friday 27th Feb?), all written in almost exactly the same style. At least try to make them believable. Frankly, it’s embarrassing. At best, it comes across as painfully inauthentic ( quick tip: the repeated em dashes gives the AI game away!). At worst, it raises serious questions about credibility. As for the workplace itself, the company hides behind its ‘anti woke’ branding as though that excuses behaviour most professional environments would never tolerate. What I experienced was an atmosphere driven by ego, intimidation, condescension, and thin skinned leadership masquerading as ‘high standards.’ Respect is treated as weakness, criticism is dismissed as people being ‘soft,’ and basic professionalism often seems secondary to maintaining a certain image. The leadership clearly wants to be seen as visionary, elite, and intellectually superior. But, a brief look at publicly available company records paints a far less impressive picture than the fantasy constantly being sold online. Underneath all the posturing and self importance there is little substance. A workplace that is, quite simply, mediocre, painfully average dressed up as exceptional. This is my personal experience, but I would strongly encourage anyone considering working here to look past the polished image, read critically, and ask themselves why a genuinely great workplace would need to work this hard to convince people that it is one.
