Pros

* Work from home was very nice * My first manager was phenomenal * It got my foot in the door of the startup world

Cons

* My first manager got fired because the lowest performers on our team said that she had unrealistic expectations. She did not have unrealistic expectations. * They said they weren't political. Boy, were they political * The salary might be good for a recent grad, but it was abysmal for anyone else. At one point I heard a manager (not mine, thankfully) encouraging someone else to get a side hustle

Pros

You choose how many and what clients you want as long as schedules are agreed upon. Some safety nets like payment in the case of no-show.

Cons

You never know if the student will cooperate or listen. Could be dealing with inattentive students just because parents wanted to check the box "child has received tutoring".
