Pros

If you're passionate in what you're doing, driven and want to progress in your career this is the place for you. Vanity Group invests in their people and guarantees a progression in your role as long there is effort behind your work. I have been working for Vanity Group for 4 years and I have not seen a person stay in the same position longer than a year. Vanity Group is booming at the moment and with that comes a lot of opportunities for its employees to progress, travel, get involved in key projects and be surrounded by talented and highly skilled individuals. One of the best things of Vanity Group is the people. The company has made efforts in establishing a culture and that has essentially made people stay longer with the business.

Cons

If you're looking for a 9 to 5 job this is not necessarily the place for you. Vanity Group is a fast-paced company and it requires people to learn and move fast. This is not necessarily a bad thing but it's certainly not for everyone. There has been lack of processes in the last few years and that might have created frustrations to some employees and departments. In saying that, the company has made huge progress in the last 12 months and is currently investing in these areas.

Pros

Cool brands, loads of freebies, snacks, office lunches, and the industry is exciting to work in. Some colleagues are genuinely lovely, but unfortunately, that’s overshadowed by the overall culture.

Cons

The work environment is toxic and riddled with extreme favoritism. A small group of people is treated with clear preferential treatment, creating an atmosphere of unfairness and division. Environment is very immature and not at all professional. Immense pressure from senior leaders and scare tactics are the norm, leading to poor morale where staff frequently vent frustrations to one another. High turnover is a glaring issue—many employees leave, not because they’re bad at their jobs as management would like to suggest, but because of the unbearable environment. The narrative is often spun to shift blame onto those who leave, rather than addressing problems.

Pros

Free snack bar and location

Cons

I’m Extremely toxic culture with blatant favouritism from management. Poor leadership with no accountability or transparency. Feedback is not welcomed — those who speak up are often alienated. High turnover due to the unhealthy working environment. Focus is placed on appearances rather than employee wellbeing or fair treatment.
