Pros
- Once u work here, u won’t feel much work pressure anywhere else. - Salary on time (Greatly helps my credit card bills ;p). - As a developer, u will get to cherish the simple pleasures of life like going home on time (when it's still daylight outside - a wet dream). - You would be so used to being talked to rudely that it won’t hurt anymore. Who knows? It could be your new superpower. - If u think “I Love to code, this is why I was born”. Great tests await you in Valuefy to shatter all these similar lies u have told urself. - May be good for Angular developers from a learning perspective.
Cons
*Issued in public interest .* Please mark this review as helpful if it is - helpful. I worked as a backend developer here. - "Oh, it’s a product-based organization." No, it’s not. They have 1 major product that they change according to different clients which means most of the time you will be copying pasting features from other projects or implementing business logic that has nothing to do with u growing as a developer. When you typically cater to the needs of other organizations so much that you tailor-made products for them, you become a service-based organization. They will say we are gonna rewrite old products in nodeJs, No they won’t. - "Ok, but I will get to work with various databases." No use!! They use a framework that is tightly-coupled and has a generalized way of interacting with the dbs and adds no knowledge regarding how they are worked with, in the industry. - "But I will get to learn that framework." It adds no value, it’s not a widely used framework and also the version which they are using is reaching its end of active LTS support in December 2020. It is used to make monolith apps which is not the industry standard anymore and is obsolete. Newer version uses microservices, MVC concept, Open API and typescript which means they have nothing in common. They are like angularJS and angular. Community of the framework is also very weak. - This was the technological side of things. (They have DevOps guys also so no knowledge there and all the architectural decisions(there are not many) are taken by 2 guys only so no luck there either). Now with a drum roll => “Valuefy’s behavior with its employees”. - I worked here for around a year(otherwise would have looked bad on my resume), I won't refer this company to anyone. Business Analysts are gonna lead your team who are gonna provide non-sensical deadlines to the client and expect you to meet them. It's not just about the end of the deadline period but rather a chore of everyday. They will be like “we put this much pressure on u because we want u to be like these 2 guys”. This line is copy-pasted to everyone. For us to understand the degree of their behavior let’s refer to my personal experience => - It was my bday and my gf flew from Delhi for 2 days so she could be with me on my bday. I did notify about this to my manager. On my birthday also I left the office at 11 pm so I could reach party location directly. I received a call from the manager at 5:30 a.m that we are stuck somewhere and need u (The team was pulling an all-nighter which is a normal thing in Valuefy, it’s not a choice). I said I will come, manager came to my building at 6 in the morning to get me to office. I left my gf sleeping there and left. There was a demo at 2 pm which didn’t go well because of various reasons which are arguable. I was asked to wait until the demo finishes in case they need me. At 4 pm when I picked my bag to leave, my manager had the sheer audacity, the guy who is the oldest employee of the organization had the sheer audacity to say “where are u going?. It’s just 4pm, we got work to do”. Of course, I left at 4 only but his guts were impressive at the very least. I have a small friend group of 7-8 people in the organization, 2 of them wept because of how they were behaved with by their managers. This is how u will be behaved with in the organization and respecting developers is a fictional concept here. - "Ok, but I don’t have any gf." Do u have a family? friends? cat? dog? chair-table? any self-worth? If yes, then one must reconsider joining Valuefy. Finding another job is just a matter of time. - Developers to Valuefy are just resources to exploit and they are very good at it. “Bankers know Economics” - ps: If u see a good review, it’s either not from a developer or not true.
