Pros

Positive work environment. Multi-cultural international team of highly qualified colleagues. Small but international company that has been around for over 20 years. Ability to learn new skills quickly with strong focus on fast development and less focus on risk avoidance. The low rating for ValueChecker is unfair, probably caused by a few unhappy former employees. If you look at the facts like LinkedIn profiles you can see that many have worked here for many years. I guess not many happy employees leave reviews here.

Cons

What I don't mind but others probably don't like is that work from home is only allowed 1 day a week. Management even pays a bonus every week the employee does not work from home. It's a rule that everyone learns during the interviews, and if you don't like that then dont work here. It's a small company with the team leads and tech boss working for many years, so there are not many steps to move upwards compared to larger company.

Pros

There is opportunity to work on many different areas, since the team is small, like backend, and frontend, and dbabmin, etc...

Cons

Many impactful product decisions are not taken by the tech team, but by management. It's one thing trying to have certain results in a certain time frame, and it's another thing trying to enforce them, while effectively clipping the wings of the tech team, limiting their ability to innovate and make sound technical decisions. They were supposedly hired for a reason beyond fixing bugs; which ironically happen mostly because of said decisions...

Pros

- Friendly colleagues - Nice office view - Free water

Cons

- The CEO is the worst I’ve ever seen. He micromanages everyone excessively and is narcissistic and full of himself. - The CTO is also the worst I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t seem to care about the company anymore, constantly brags on LinkedIn, and gives nonsensical self-help advice that nobody needs. I wish he would focus more on the technical side (which is his job), because most technical decisions are being made by the CEO and some less-experienced developers, causing the company’s codebase to become a mess. - Some people are doing the bare minimum (and some just pretend to work) because no one has any passion for the company anymore, as they feel poorly treated.
