Pros

There are no pros for this company. I only worked for them because they bought out the company I was working for.

Cons

they do not want you to transcribe, they force you to use AI to do police transcription which is so detail-oriented and intricate AI will never work, they treat you terrible as a contractor, no ethics, no standards that they abide by, and the work and pay is extremely poor, they cannot train you as they don't even have the program able to work consistently

Pros

Great pay for legal transcribers when there is work

Cons

When it’s slow, it’s very slow, but is common in this profession.

Pros

Work when you want. If there's a rush job, you need to get it done within 24 hours, but other than that, you're on your own. Some of the work is interesting. You'll do everything from headline news events to jail calls.

Cons

Some jobs are easy; most are not. There are no raises, no bonuses. If you get a job that takes you 8 hours to transcribe and proof but it's only 30 minutes in length, you would only make around $3 an hour. AI does the first draft and a lot of times you have to completely retranscribe all of it. There is no management hardly at all unless they need something rush. Then you'll hear from them, which is nice because you're on your own without someone looking over your shoulder.
