Horrible leadership. Like truly horrible. The organizations are super wide with no logical chain of command. Because there isn’t a unified vision for strategy, each department is siloed and the natural effect is toxic office politics. Most of management is clueless on how to work with each other on different teams. Lots of leadership coming in from outside of the outdoor industry who don’t understand the endemic consumers. These brands are on the fast track to chasing trends and becoming catalogue brands.
