Pros

Started with a strong vision on cross-border currency transactions and great employees (outside of leadership).

Cons

CEO was a bully and pushed his own LGBT agenda (which was great, but didn't align to the company's mission), exec suite lacked any ability to focus on what we actually did or who we wanted to be as a company. No transparency into funding, decision making and any internal happenings.

Much has transpired in this past year, inclusive of a strong, new and very cohesive exec team that does focus on transparency and I am here to help build culture, which is one of mentorship and collaboration.

Pros

Free Lunch Nice office Unlimited sick days and PTO

Cons

I worked in the FIU team and unfortunately had a very negative experience with the workplace culture. While the role itself had learning opportunities, the behavior of certain senior staff members was deeply disappointing. During the company Christmas party, the MRLO and other staff members openly mocked me in front of colleagues. What should have been a team-building and celebratory event turned into an uncomfortable and humiliating experience. There was a clear lack of professionalism and basic respect. A healthy workplace depends on leadership setting the tone. When senior team members engage in this kind of behavior, it creates an environment where employees feel unsupported and undervalued. It significantly impacted my morale and overall perception of the company. I would strongly encourage leadership to reflect on how workplace culture is being shaped, particularly within FIU, and ensure that all employees are treated with dignity and respect.
