Pros

- Good working environment - corporate is good about communicating proactively with employees, and has responded very well to COVID-19, giving good guidance and being flexible with employees. - Good Benefits - 401k match is discretionary, but has consistently been double digit matching for years, fully vested making it among the best in the industry. Health insurance has a bit of a high deductible, BUT the company pays the full monthly premium and contributes to the HSA every year, along with fully paid vision and dental. 7 Days of sick time are provided annually as well. The company provides all PTO up front each year, which is a nice perk if you take vacations early but it must be used in the year it is earned - no carryover. - Flex scheduling - the company is pretty good about flexible schedules (This may vary depending on the program an individual), but compressed work weeks or alternate work schedules are allowed. I've never had any concerns about missing appointments or having personal issues due to work schedules.

Cons

- Compensation isn't exactly up to par. I'm probably about ten percent under where I feel I "should" be, but the benefits come pretty close to making up for it. My take home pay winds up being 3-5% lower than it would be elsewhere with more expensive benefits but a higher gross pay. -PTO isn't great - 10 days starting is below what I would consider standard, even with 7 days of sick time in addition. 15 days starting would be much better (though you can earn that after you've been with the company 3 years). No PTO rollover in normal circumstances either, it's always use it or lose it.

Pros

President and high-level corporate take a genuine interest in employees and want the company to take care of people. Compressed schedules, pretty good benefits, schedule flexibility, and some telework depending on position

Cons

Some company policies are poorly communicated during onboarding (and in general). Interaction with DOD counterparts can be unclear and unguided. Flexibilities can vary from manager to manager.
