Pros
This role provided valuable hands-on experience. I had a supportive direct manager who genuinely cared about my growth and career development. I was given opportunities to take on responsibility, learn new skills, and build a strong foundation early in my career. The experience ultimately helped prepare me for future roles and professional growth.
Cons
Team culture within my specific group was extremely challenging and, at times, hostile. There was frequent micromanagement from peers at the same level, including unnecessary monitoring of lunch breaks and remote work. The environment felt driven by gossip, immaturity, and interpersonal drama rather than collaboration and professionalism. Ongoing issues within this team were widely known and reportedly raised multiple times, yet no meaningful action was taken. Some employees appeared to have an outsized influence on team dynamics, often blurring personal relationships with professional ones, which negatively impacted working relationships.
